A Years Journey Poem by Lost Sierra

We traveled the road side by side
recovering from our departure
we promised we would give it a try
and we would not divide

Though the time went by
things began to change
we did not notice
so we continue to try

Suddenly one day we were no more
when did this happen I'm not exactly sure
it was just one day
we acted as if we were at war.

We did not pass a glance
words were not spoken
it was if we haven't given it a chance

They year is now ended
and we are back where we started
this is not what we intended

Here we are trying to mend the damage that has been done
I've given you plenty of chances
but I'm willing to give you one more
because I miss you more than you know
but don't think you won

You have to promise me you'll never hurt me again
