i wrote a poem about a girl
who threw my heart into a shore
she made me dance around her whirl
then deemed me bore and waved the door

my blue sky dropped from the top
my heart felt low with such a blow
they came like flood, these silly teardrops
she made my 'know' into a 'so? '

then one morn, as i woke up
i left the bed and broke the spell
for as i held my coffee cup
i saw my belle for a screeching bell.
