Abreast Of A Male Killer Disease

Rating: 5.0

seems America also neglects
prostate cancer and testicular
cancer as New Zealand does

which kills more men
than breast cancer in women
a dangerous neglected disease

society is abreast of danger breast cancer in women
we do not needlessly let mothers sisters daughters die
but seems fathers brothers sons we let die with a sigh

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Written in May 2015 on the 15.5.2015.
In general men are '40 per cent more likely to die from cancer than women overall, and 16 per cent more likely to get the disease.' Some diseases are gender specific, sex-specific cancers like prostate and cervical cancer, while breast cancer is much more common in women, and lung cancer is more common in men. But data on cancers which both sexes can get, highlights a disturbing fact, 'Men were 60 per cent more likely to get cancer than women, and 70 per cent more likely to die from it.' So ladies who care about the men in your lives, get them to the doctor for a regular check up, or increase the risk losing them.
