Absence Poem by Caroline Bulleck

Absence

Rating: 4.5

Its clammy arms ensnare.
Black holes in its stare
Sucks up my energy.
It squeezes the air out of me,
Leeching. It weighs me down
So I can't make a sound.
This heavy shadow, your absence,
Has become an unbearable presence.
