Abyss Of Bliss Poem by Adam Thoms

Abyss Of Bliss

Bedroom eyes
Occupied
By the things we do
I tried hard to hide my interest from you
Bedroom eyes
Occupied
By the things we think
I'll give my all my kitchen sink
I'll hold your hair back
When you had too much to drink
Cause I don't mind the stink

That's all I'm hoping for
Someone worth opening doors
We can divy up the chores
Then cuddle on our floors.

Some say love is like the weather
Don't try to predict it I know better.
I think love is like the stars
It captures you like a work of art.

I stumbled on something more something I consider
To be worth fighting for and stick through the winter.

Bedroom eyes
Occupied
By the things we see
She tried hard to hide her interest in me.
She walked around and folded clothes
I know she's tuned in by the way she scrunched up her nose
When I told my jokes
She creased those clothes with care
Pauses on the underwear
Gives me a playful glare.

That's all I'm hoping for
Someone worth opening doors
We can divy up the chores
Then cuddle on our floors.

Some say love is like the weather
Don't try to predict it I know better.
I think love is like the stars
It captures you like a work of art.
