Acceptance Poem by richard taschner

Acceptance

Look at her in killer heels
Proffesional lady just sealed some deals
Treats herself to jimmy choo
Worked hard, been paid, she`s due
Next to starbucks starting to fade
Then back to the ranks of the pinstripe brigade
She feels good in the skin she`s in
Confidence oozing from every pore
Effortlessly conveyed to the people next door
Elder ladies in the vicinity
Take offence to her unblemished proximity
And vow to look just as quant
But you`ve either got it or you aint
In 20 years time she wont be old and wrinkled
You`d pay a kings ransom for the age
Defying stardust god has sprinkled
Give it up you cant win
Acceptance is maturity
That lies deep within.
