Acquaintances Poem by Emma Jane Pearson

Acquaintances

Here I stand,
And here you stand.
I'm In front of you,
For the very last time.
So here I am,
Look at me,
Because I can't tell what you’re thinking,
Help me out,
I can't tell,
From your lack of eye contact!

Here I stand,
And now you’re walking away.
You didn't hear what I said,
What I said was nothing.
I couldn't say it because,
You didn't know me yet.
So try again,
Look at my closely,
Do you feel it too?
Like me and you could get through?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

great poem..... eyes talk silently and they really they do express..... But not all of people can hear the eyes voice.... especially when you dont know the person in front of you well yet.... wonderful.... keep writing
