Across The Sea

Rating: 4.0

On distant shores I stand and gaze,
Out there to sea into the haze,
Far or'e the ocean my homeland,
I dream, there standing on the sand,
The one I love, I hope and pray,
Together soon God speed the day,
Blow wind across the sea,
Whisper my love, please wait for me,
Blow wind across the sea,
To where my heart so longs to be,
Blow wind across the sea.

The twilight deepens stars do shine,
Please tell my love for her I pine,
Then darkness falls, the moon appears,
She sees me standing mid my tears,
Fly moon along the night,
Please guide my love with loves own light,
Fly moon across the sea,
To where my heart so longs to be,
Fly moon along the night,
Blow wind across the sea.

The silent clouds drift high in space,
I beg of them please haste their pace,
To tell you dear, I miss you so,
How much I love you, Let you know,
Roll clouds across the sky,
Please say my love will never die,
Roll clouds across the sea,
To where my heart so longs to be,
Roll clouds across the sky,
Fly moon along the night,
Blow wind across the sea.
