Across This Universe Poem by D.A. Woods

Across This Universe

Across this Universe within a glorious Spectrum of light,
I pick up your channels every day....every night,
hope you pick up my signal that reflects off loves satellite,
telling you I need your hand to hold mine tight.

Distance is nothing when someone is thinking of you,
eagerly waiting for this slow beating heart to construe,
I would walk the ends of earth with my worn out shoes,
to have an end to all this would be a heavenly breakthrough.

So the next time when you spare me a thought,
think of this life and your one arrow shot,
this boy who all his days has learned what Venus taught
come tie the ends of this truelove knot.
