Act As Apostle Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Act As Apostle

Rating: 5.0

Culprits and criminals have been seated
The lamp for democracy is lighted
Parliament has become place for protection
Anything they do is with one voice and action

One thieve entered holy place
He made it open to all races
No discrimination among robbers
Safe place and heaven for looters

Now they may be able to fight election from jails
All the honor and facility may be availed
No law reaches them as Supreme Court is made pawn
Shutters of democracy is slowly closing down

Courts should strike the amendment down
The supremacy of law must be made known
No unholy alliance can make courts redundant
Show them the door if they remain absent

How come they decide their perks?
Fight openly inside temple and bark?
Show or teach them the lessons of decency?
It has now become intolerant with increase in frequency

We shall watch them but some of the laws should be struck
Illegal and black can be filled in trucks
Brought back to government treasury
All money then should be used for poor and needy

Parliament is sacred temple
It should place for honorable and just struggle
For passing bills to the welfare of people
The members should act as apostle
