Adolecence, Ah How Bittersweet! Poem by DiAnne Douglass

Adolecence, Ah How Bittersweet!

Rating: 5.0

thoughts of you keep spinning
here inside my head
whirling, twirling, jumbling
inside my very head

my mind's a mass of swirling thoughts
confusing thoughts tumbling inside my head
each one chasing after another
around and around and around again
in circles through my head

memories of better times
keep resurfacing today
reminding me of the fun we had
and leaving me not knowing
how i think or feel about you

such a confusing time this is in my life
these swirling emotions pent up inside of me
longing to be free
bittersweet memories
that keep resurfacing
thoughts of you surrounding me
and never letting me be

adolecence, ah how bittersweet!
is such a teenage love
full of memories
and swirling feelings
and thoughts of a love long past
