I'm afraid to scream, afraid that if I do you too will be scared, perhaps of me. Like a wolves howl, deep and dark full of pain, but there is no moon to hear my begs.

I'm afraid to touch you, afraid you will run away, dissolve as if you were never there. So cold I am you'll flinch away.

I'm afraid to run, afraid that if I start running I'll never stop, running forever and ever. No place to go so I just keep going.

I'm afraid to hear, afraid you'll know say something that I don't want to hear, losing my mind trying to understand what you meant. Caught up in trying to hear you I won't know whats being said.

I'm afraid of being, being myself and thinking you don't like me because of whats said, lurking like a shadow when you see I want to fade. There is nothing there and there was no one there.
