After Hours Airwaves Poem by Ruby Q=Petersen

After Hours Airwaves

I know zero about Cleveland's turnpike
About the time they won
Or the dollars lost.
Vaguely remember the fight that was,
The frantic crowd, the admission costs.
The obscene contract signed last fall,
The anguish of coaches
With their backs to the wall.
I do know your theme song is super great
Hope there's a copy in my home state.
Adore the one presented last night,
Written by You (???),
Was my ear listening right?
Someone sang it before (sign-off) time,
And now I can't sleep
With this beat on my mind.
I'll be bugged by that melody
'till I'm a blithering mess,
Quickly C.O.D. a copy to my address,
Ending this unbearable stress.
I do thank you, kind sir,
And May God Bless.
