After Someone Special Enters Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

After Someone Special Enters

Proposals to dance.
And romance snuggled up close,
Under warm blankets.
Sipping hot chocolate,
Topped with fire roasted marshmellows...
Sounds inviting.
All of it sounds great.

Now if I can just find someone,
Willing to share my delusions...
To communicate much more than this,
When the reality of a chemistry hits...
After someone special enters my life,
With a wanting to nibble each other's lips.
And not a minute of it is felt to be sacrificial.
