A-fter the darkest night
D-ay twenty-sixth September;
O-ne morn has just broken,
R-ain and chill
A-re over.
E-vening shadows disappear,
S-un has begun to shine;
P-ure delight is brought,
E-asing your troubled mind.
L-et the gray dusk turn
I-nto next day's shining light;
T-otal brightness will come
A-fter the darkest night.
