Afterglow
I see you
standing...
by the river
across time,
I hear you
smiling...
with the breeze
fluttering by,
my deranged mind
sings along
with your soul,
your careless whisper
I bear upon
my heart...
so come a closer
by the dusty wood
where I stand,
let me hold you
to see
in palmed hands,
I await you,
as a barren land
awaits rain...
a beautiful sunset
radiating in the darkness
by every lasting breath.
