Afternoon Recharge Poem by Bhekumuzi Dlamini

Afternoon Recharge

I need a shower
A shower of thoughts to splash away the salts of the day
To ease away the tense of the threads
I need a hideout to dim away the spotlight of my shame.

Just outside the threshold of the night
When all the pains afford a cozy nap
I laze on my spine and launch for the sky
In search for you I explore for the lightest star.

Your dazzle shy away the shadows of my past
Your gleaming eyes mirror the 'we' life begging to come to pass
You inspire my dreams to be colorful and alive
You patch my scars with a soothing kiss of love.

You are the secret garden in the tenderness of my heart
That which homage do I pay with a smile and water with love
Your scented breeze caresses the inches of my skin
Your sweet perfume excites my naughty intentions.
