Aftertaste Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Aftertaste

laughter and cheers
pledge of loyalty through the years
our love did begin as a sweet affair

arguments and tears
broken promises that wake fears
love has turned too sour for us to care

pain that simply sears
confused emotion quickly stirs
our hearts have drowned in bitterness unaware
