Against The Time Poem by Anggie Servian

Against The Time

I walked along the street
counting every step of my feet
I sensed the movement of time
fast and furious like a crime

I did not want to pace my speed
to catch up everything I need
I watched the time passed by
but I enjoyed the view nearby

I find myself now
wondering every kinds of how
My life is gone with the wind
without anything left to win

I call the name of time
but it is nowhere to be found
I wish it could stop and turn around
to help me erase my act of crime

But time is merciless
to those who live is vagueness
I now have to run with all my heart
to catch the light before my time depart

Time is not gracious
but it is precious
for us
to live wondrous
