Age Poem by Lynne Crandall

Age

Another birthday has come and gone
And now there are 94 years of wisdom
Instead of 93.
If only someone could appreciate
The dimming eyes that have witnessed
More history than any textbook could capture
Or the gnarled hands, wrinkled with age,
That have held new and dying life,
Or the incandecsent smile
Which hasn't changed a bit
Even after all these years.
