Alcohol In My Vein Poem by Dishant kumar Tripathi

Alcohol In My Vein

Shower over me some rain..
Says the alcohol flowing in ma vein..

Tried hard to catch up ma life but it all turned invain..
After I decay I want my symbols to remain..
Because respect is the only thing I tried to gain.

My heart so much wants to share the hollow hidden inside..
But somehow I just cover up and hide..
Afraid of the pain ma heart may cry..
I still don’t know the reason so don’t ask me why?

May be this love drunk is missing her presence..
Or may be this love drunk is missing her essence..
And now this love drunk is running out of sense..

So shower over me some rain..
Says the alcohol flowing in ma vein..

I almost cried a river,
When she was not near..
I almost cried a river,
When there was no one to hear..
But I fear..!
Fear that even my tears may dry up,
Fear that ma wounds may never heal up,
Fear that all ma agony will turn me hollow inside,
Fear that I’ll be left alone in this cruel world so wide..

But my love for her is like the never ending tide..
Proof is the river I cried..

I cried a river,
When she was not near..
I cried a river,
When there was no one to hear..
And for now to calm me,
Shower over me some rain..
Says the alcohol flowing in ma vein..
