Alice's Anxiety Poem by Charles Zhang

Alice's Anxiety

where am i
going
save me
the ground is
lowering
slipping, rushing
sand through my
feet
slowing
pulled apart
pressure on the heart
tell me
i don't know
where i am
going.

Very nice expression of a feeling of helplessness. The verses are very well written and sound melodious I think there is a great talent in the poet writing this poem. Somehow it made me think of Alice in Wonderland who asked which way she should go. When asked where she wanted to go, she said she didn't know. And then the answer came: then it does not matter which way you take. It is ok to take a few steps back every now and then, as long as we keep our fet directed to the forward path. Your poem provoked a lot of thoughts. I like poems like this Hans
