That at a certain point my flute would be mute
Shouldn't unduly perturb me at the moment
Sheer intensity of melody must be sufficient
To guarantee me the assumed right to exult extravagant
O Lord ! I don' t ask of Thee bliss eternal or infinite
Grant me grace in cadences beautiful, neatly set
That I may get a taste of bliss infinite and be content
