Alive Poem by Kyle Shield Laster

Alive

Rating: 2.9

Died last night
I'll explain how it felt.
Flames of pleasure
The emotions melt.

Senses failure,
The eyes implode,
Tear ducts drought,
The veins erode.

Painful truth,
Half-hearted peace.
Chambers collapse,
Clinically decease.

Revived by thought,
Remember the feeling.
You'll need it now,
For your soul's harsh healing.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I rather like this Kyle. I think the low mark ranking is probably merely evil on the part of Those Who Can. Who hasn't wondered what death may feel like... and your personal take on it is largely well-written. (Check your inbox though) .

This is very good Kyle. Concise with vivid imagery. That final stanza is something we must all remember to try and do. We must keep remembering the feeling. Excellent line. Well done, welcome to PH, Tai
