All I'Ve Got Poem by Braden Patton

All I'Ve Got

All I’ve got is a love for you,
So hot and real, it’s burning blue.
All I’ve got is a profound understanding,
Of a stone world that loves to be demanding.

All I’ve got is a guitar and some string.
Now all I need is a voice to sing.
All I’ve got is less than you,
I can’t hope to find something new.

All I’ve got is an ailment that stings,
Like a bee you come to irritate me.
All I’ve got are these two eyes to see
All of these pests chasing after me.

All I’ve got is a bitter taste,
It won’t go away or be replaced.
All I’ve got are these things biting me
Too bad I’m too good for their jealousy.

All I’ve got is too much to do,
It’s ok; I never thought much of you.
All I’ve got is a little more than I thought.
I guess all I’ve got is a lot.
