All People Are Equal Poem by Francis Duggan

All People Are Equal

I've worked with many races and found them okay
And all people are equal despite what some say
And since we are mere mortals all born to die
Those who believe in class distinction believe in a lie
There is no such a thing as a blue blooded breed
Since from cuts to our skin red is the blood we bleed
No such a thing as a superman or woman we all have to die
Immortality for Humankind is based on a lie
Like the Seasons of Nature people to life come and go
And Nature's the only immortal of which I do know
On my journey through life I've worked in many a town
With all sorts of people from black, white to brown
In all races the good and the bad I did find
And what does make us all equal we are Humankind.
