All Under The Sun Poem by Gedion Onyango

All Under The Sun

I watched the fishes
drown in waters
and elephants swim
in deep seas
I saw the birds fall
from the sky
and trees grow in the air
I saw waters flow from flames
and warthogs playing guitars
I saw turtles rowing down the river
and quenched my thirst
with a bottle top of hope and glamour
I saw cats and dogs dancing salsa
and flying without wings
I saw monkeys voting
in big skin jackets
and hyenas drunk in blood of red wine
for the time has come
when deserts flow with spring-waters
and the secret is glowing in the public
we're tired of debating morals
as chimpanzees celebrate with guns
the world cries of its eggs
and we believe in its tearless tears
