For a while I gave life a fleeting chance
then it happened in a glance.
Silence that I longed for, so long
a great bellowing quiet, so strong.

And that's how it's done.

Suddenly, in a blink of an eye
unforgivable moments pass by.
Glittering sun rays on ice,
all the certainty of a rolling dice.

And that's all we have.
One Shot
One chance
One sign
One dance.
And that's all we get.
