Alms Poem by Sanjay Mehta

Alms

Rating: 5.0

Yes
Today
I will
Give her alms
But only
If she asked
Which she always did
Mysterious cruelty
Not a single glance
As she passed
Hands full of alms
No
Alms full of hands
Yes, My, My hands.

You are speaking the mind of all.... Some give alms out of moods, some give out of concern and some give on conditions... I feel like giving alms to a new beggar but when the same beggar extends the hands again and again I feel annoyed.. I can`t write a poem on my attitude.. Still we are all sailing in the same boat of giving alms not often.. Good sharing Sanjay
