Aloft Poem by Kitty Marie Lucas

Aloft

you break it down
you play the part
your every move
a work of art

don’t think too hard
you might grow soft
your cowardice
keeps you aloft

you forget to think
to help you forget
the time we first
crossed paths and met

but don’t forget me quickly, dear
(an angry shadow's drawing near)
