Alone - Poem by Anna Kirshenbaum

Most of the time
Most of my life
I am so lone
I am too lone
Too lone
To stay sane
Too lone
To be brave
Too lone
To escape
To reach the skies
To swim up towards the light
I want to cry
And weep for help
For someone to be there
For me
But no one's near
No one to hear
Me cry
And weep for help
And I can surely tell
Each time anew
That hell
Is not where we to go
When dead
But where to live the life
Were sent

You have expressed the pangs of loneliness, true as they are.

A strong poem, reflecting strength n the poet. Agree with Yoseph, that writing it out is perhaps the first step towards healing. Silence and solitude are something we sometimes long for, but if we get to much of it, it can be really hurting. Somehow, deep inside I believe that somewhere in the not so far future, people will feel again connected and loneliness may be a thing of the past. Our world is getting more spiritual and love and kindness are increasing exponentially. Once we pass the sharp knee of the exponential curve, we will see something amazing. Keep hope very much alive and let's all be part of the exponential process, Anna. (Report) Reply

Well, I can say that you made the first step to show your feelings, very good, but I can say that life is nice...just read my poems and specially the one named: WHEN DOES A CAT SING.? Just smile and life will smile, back to you ! (Report) Reply
