Alone Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Alone

At break of day
I turned
To touch
Your side of bed
Forgetting
You had gone...
Yesterday.

At breakfast
I had two cups
Prepared
For coffee
Closed eyes
Hoping
You will
Come
back.

The rains came
Pouring down
The window pane
I watched
As tears
Ran down
Like rain
Then whispered...
You name.
