Alone But Not Unhappy Untouchable, Untouched. Poem by RIC BASTASA

Alone But Not Unhappy Untouchable, Untouched.

Rating: 5.0

since i do not follow
the crowd
naturally i am left alone,

i know how it feels
to be abandoned

no, it is not that i
am ostracized

it is just a consequence
of my personal decision

to be just myself,
to follow no one

oh yes, this is solitude
this is happiness,

am i great? nope, i am not.
i do not dream.

i keep this belief:
the world loves me as
one of its
inevitable truths:

alone but not unhappy
untouchable, untouched.
