Alone Hours Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Alone Hours

Walking softy upon wild grass
away from scuffed sidewalks
Venturing on a sun filled day
unaware… there are no clocks

Don't have someone to meet...
going blindly to see what is ahead
There's always a new discovery
to be found within lyrics unsaid

It is amazing how nature's joy
appears with a smiling face...
just beyond an arms distance
yet giving a loving embrace

A grasshopper stays very still
as though posing… then rockets
Propelled by super powers...
leaping towards an unseen target

A small dark feathered bird sings
a melody with a repeating refrain
Its orange painted wings flap away
no longer wishing to entertain

The hum of bees rises from centers
of sweet smelling flowers
There is a unique scintillating sonata
being created within the alone hours

This place holds many treasures
that are fleeting… remaining fondly
in the memories of flesh and breath
A wealth of treasures that are Godly...
