Alone In A Crowd Poem by j l price

Alone In A Crowd

Rating: 5.0

There are people all around
They are walking up & down
The streets, the mall or at a game
Yet inside, I always feel the same

They are at work, on the concourse
In their cars or even on the bus
While at a meeting or at the store
I see them walking thru the door

On a plane, a train or at a bazaar
No matter where I go—near or far
Alone in a crowd is not the worst thing
I look forward to what each day brings

I’m still the best person that I can be
To the world maybe invisible—yet it’s still me

On a plane, a train or at a bazaar No matter where I go—near or far Alone in a crowd is not the worst thing I look forward to what each day brings I’m still the best person that I can be To the world maybe invisible—yet it’s still me - - - - - - In a crowd we may feel lonely if we can not connect to the outside world where as in sheer loneliness we may not feel lonely if we are crowded with lovely thoughts of near and dear ones or if we can connect with our inner soul which gives us peace and tranquility.A very nice poem, thanks for sharing.

When I walked up the stairs (Yesterday, upon the stair,) I met (saw) a man who wasn’t there He wasn’t there again today I wish, I wish he’d go away. (I see him everyday now He tries to speak but doesn’t know how He didn’t speak again today I wish, I wish, I could hear what he has to say.) (I went to see him today He just stared and pointed my way He told me something new now I wish, I wish to use it but don’t know how) When I came home last night at three_ The man was waiting there for me_ But when I looked around the hall_ I couldn’t see him there at all! _ Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more! _ Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door... (slam!) __ Last night I saw upon the stair_ A little man who wasn’t there_ He wasn’t there again today_ Oh, how I wish he’d go away (Today he went and walked right through me And now I know what the truth may be He has shown me my greatest fear That it’s me who isn’t here.) The poem 'The man who wasn't there' in two versions (that in parenthesis is the second version.) s
