Alone In The Dark Poem by Cesar Amaro

Alone, alone
i am alone, the darkness engulfs it all,
it takes it all from me,
it only leaves insecurities and hate,
resentment and delusion
traped in my own mind,
suffocating my sanity and humanity. and it appears there is no escape
is the darkness all bad, should i give up and let it take me?
Can i triumph against myself? if I win do I still lose?
Lord knows i want to see the light but the darkness will not let me go
so I smile and say that i am home
