Alone In The Night
I stood alone in the majestic silence of the night -
Just me, the earth, and the celestial light -
When appeared an uncharted star brightly burning,
Brighter than any had ever before shone.
And it was then I heard my soul's soft yearnings,
As it strained towards home.
