Alpha Poem by robyn nathan

Alpha

She feeds me from her lips when I am hungry
Regurgitating the days kill

I am born of alpha, as we all are
there is no soft word of love
But food and shelter and strength of one

Show me this to not walk alone
Show me again to howl with the light
The rising of the moon
The call to my other
I have been silenced in my forgetfulness

Feed me from your lips
Let me suckle breast
Bared teeth bite into my flesh
I am showing you my belly this time before I rise

I am your pride
Growing stronger
Growing into myself
Taking my place in the lore of nature
As intended....
