Alphabet Goulash Poem by Doug Stewart

Alphabet Goulash

A stands for Amazon, that mightiest of flows
B is for Bees work, industry, and the Arms of Napoleon
C can only be for Canine, that oldest of man’s friends
D is Discovery on a new infinitely great grand parent
E rightfully belongs to Elegance, gone to another age
F is for Fade, certainly the finest exit form of parties and life
G is Probably Generic, as in drugs, films, and alcohol
H must move us to higher ground during floods, and after drugs
I is instant, like pudding, coffee, and politics
J Just imagine what J can do for you
K is for kale, that regular green
L lies to be lazy, too much effort to stand.
M is for the many goofy songs for “mother”
N should be for “Newseum, ” the worst compound noun in the lexicon
O scores 15 on our hit parade, Oh my!
P stalls for prorogue
Q questions the final query
R stands resolutely for resolution
S is for silly, slumber, and sex
T would be terrific, if not for tragedy
U well, here’s lookin’ at U kid...
V is a trumpet voluntary
W the world wobbles on, with or without us
X marks the traditional spot, but don’t tarry there
Z of course, is for zebra races
