Always Loved Poem by Madi Lynn

Always Loved

Am I being played
Strung-along once again
How much hurt can one take
Before she can't take anymore
I say I've become numb
I say no one can affect me
But when I let my doubts show
Maybe that isn't true
Maybe I'm not as strong as I seem
Will you be the straw that breaks the camel's back?
I don't think so.
You're probably going to break my heart
But I can think of someone who won't
He isn't another guy
Who just thinks I'm hot or wants to flirt
He is so much better
I'll never be un-loved and I'll always have protection
So when I think of past hurts
When I think of hurts I'm sure will come
I can remember the Eternal Lover of my Soul.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I think a lot of people would get freaked out by the jesus-lover thing. But I thought your poem was really cool. It was sweet and true and deep.
