(always) Newly Sinking Poem by Rich Downes

(always) Newly Sinking

Rating: 2.9

For I'm feeling queasy
But I know that's nothing new
A memory of blue
Now I dunno who to even yet be
Yet I dunno what to do
So without any clue

Always newly sinking about this crime
Never wanted to be just outdone
For I just can't hold you so dearly
Stuck without a word to say as numb

And love was that of surprise
A memory so blue
Just never now new
Justice isn't so sorry
Romance doesn't feel ever sublime
Even if it isn't ever kind.

Always newly sinking about this crime
Never wanted to be just outdone
For I just can't hold you so dearly
Stuck without a word to say as numb

Time isn't helping nor yet relieving
For I know why I'm always grieving

Always newly sinking about this crime
Never wanted to be just outdone
For I just can't hold you so dearly
Stuck without a word to say as numb

Always newly sinking about this crime…
