At eventide I love you best,
do anything at your behest
we will put our lovelight to the test
and forget about the rest.
I'll take you where you wish to go
where'er the gentle breezes blow
dancing to music soft and low

I'll whisper all you need to hear
wear your diamond year on year,
my love will be more than sincere
if I can always have you near.
Each day will be a sunny day
dark clouds will never mar our way.
