Am I beautiful?

Long dark hair, pale skin, green eyes
Striking I've often heard, doll like and innocent, the face of an angel
You should model they say, you should be in pictures and your name in lights
I wonder what do they see, why do they say such things
I see the flaws, the blemish on my cheek, or the frizz of my hair on a humid day, the scars on my legs which I try to cover to no avail
I try everyday, makeup perfect, hair down and straight, I cannot face the world if I'm not giving it my best
I feel ashamed, what do they see? how can they say those things?
Are they sincere with their words of praise, Am I beautiful?
