Am I Human Poem by caroll chaumette

Am I Human

Am i Human
Made of flesh and blood
As you
Then why i am looked upon with disdain
Am i not human?

Regardless of color, creed or race
You rich, I poor
You live in a palace
And i in a shack
You eat your fill,
And i the spill
You dress in tapestry, I in tatter
Does that make you human and i am not
Educate or Uneducated
Great or small
You judge me by what
The blood of life runs through my veins
Say tell me do you have the same

Are you human, And i am not
You go to the toilet
And i do the same
I desire you desire we aspire
But as human some deft, and some in dire
I will die and you will die
We will both be judged by God alone
We will stand side by side
Before his ultimate throne
When all is said and done
We will hear welcome or go yon

So what do you think
Am i human
Are you human
Each to its own conclusion
