America Poem by Conley Murray

America

As bad as it may sound.
America was one of the greatest nations in the land
because on God's great principles it was found.

It was well respected through out all the land.

Now it is so plain to see,
that it is not the great nation it use to be.

Our lawmakers have passed so many laws,
that are so full of flaws.

In the nations capitol, and court houses in all the states
they have removed everything pertaining to God off the walls,
and that is not even near all.

They use to have a day when our leaders in the capitol
would pray,
now that has all been done away.

In our schools the students were allowed to pray everyday,
now that also has been done away.

IF OUR LEADERS WOULD GO BACK TO THE OLD DAYS,
THEN GOD WOULD BE WITH THIS GREAT NATION AGAIN IN A MIGHTY WAY.
