America Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

America

Out of men's struggle for freedom
They fought and brought down a kingdom
Two heads are better than one
So they gather to get things done
They chose to liberate their minds
No longer a prisoner to the King's binds
They chose to be brave and free
They chose to open their eyes and see
That Freedom and Liberty is a gift to humanity
Everyone has the right to express its individuality
That everyone has the right to speak
Without the fear of getting hit by a large stick
So they formulate ideas to be obeyed and written
So that men would no longer be oppressed and smitten
Like a young boy that country grew
But like the rest of us it made mistakes too
I guess we all make errors and mistakes
But now at least that country have fifty states
