American Pride Poem by Jared Bradford

American Pride

Rating: 5.0

We've been through the bad
We've been through the good
We've all been sad
We've done the best we could

How could anyone think
It could be real
How could we think
Let alone feel

That clear day in September
Turned all to hell
We will crack their terror
Like the Liberty Bell

The smoke soon cleared
We rose through the mist
The first thing they saw:
Mother Liberty shaking her fist,

We swallowed our pride
Rose from the depths
Shattered their guard
Uncle Sam did the rest

We've never given in
We've never failed
The American Pride
Will always prevail
