Amidst A Field Poem by Nestor David Armas

Amidst A Field

Among my thoughts and woes,
I'm the only one
That knows,
From your silky hair,
To your pretty toes,
You are the most
Beautiful rose,
Amidst a field
Full of butterweeds,
I'm broken down on my knees,
But no one can hear my pleas,
Might as well be
Screaming overseas,
Like a ship lost
At the edge of the bay,
You like a lighthouse
Show me the way,
I await you in the morn
Like the first sunray,
Thank you for being you,
You make my day...
