Amidst Wars Poem by Dustin Michael Garcia

Amidst Wars

Rating: 3.5

old friend since premier speech
lost brother of soul within

in calm night we meet again
'tween wars of sain and insain

under the smiling poised moon
yet body was robbed of tune
agitated, uneasy
a lone burning sensation

bounded by harmonic waves
yet mind remained without peace
a passionate voice shouting
gusts of emotion clashing

a dangerous excitement
opposing tranquility

under the smiling poised moon
into the harmonic waves
'tween wars of sain and insain
a sudden plunged; Alas! peace
