Amputation Poem by The Poet Darkling

Amputation

Darkness took over me long ago
When I first scratched the surface of love
Tumultuous waves of emotion
I could hardly hold my head above

Drowning me, pulling me always down
Into a pit of horrors and pain
Insecurities driving me mad
Voices planting their thoughts in my brain

Black waves perform an amputation
Crashing over me, after my heart
Slice through my fortress, quick as silver
Removing from me the useless part

But the torment of your absence stays
Driving me deeper into abyss
I die without you, never knowing your love
Die alone, never knowing your kiss
